Job Opportunity – Architect Consultant to CAB

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

2004 Dodge Report

AIA Opens Job Board to Summer Opportunities

New/Reinstating Members

The California Architects Board (Board) is seeking responses to its Request for Proposal (RFP) for an Architect Consultant. Please find the RFP online at: http://www.cab.ca.gov/pdf/rfp.pdf.

The Architect Consultant works from the Board office and plays a critical role in the Board’s enforcement program. Key functions include: responding to technical inquiries, acting as an expert witness and testifying at disciplinary hearings and criminal cases; providing guidance to the Division of Investigation in technical matters; and training and educating California building officials and consumers regarding the Architects Practice Act.

The Board advertised this RFP earlier this year to fill two architect consultant positions and only one architect’s proposal received a score sufficient to award the contract. As such, the Board encourages interested architects to respond to fill the other position. The Board also would be deeply appreciative if your organization could help publicize this opportunity. Responses to the RFP are due by July 16, 2004 at 3:00 PM.

Please contact the Board’s Assistant Executive Officer, Vickie Mayer, at (916) 445-3394 if you have questions.
