About Chandni Thacker, AIA

Chandni was born and raised in India, where she also earned her Bachelor of Architecture. After a few years of practicing there, she moved to the United States to pursue her master’s degree and has called the US home ever since.

Over the past decade, Chandni has built a career across a wide range of project types, from healthcare and commercial work to multifamily and single-family homes. Today, she serves as Director of Architecture at Aura, where she oversees the full lifecycle of multifamily housing projects.

Before Aura, Chandni worked as an Associate at AO, where she led multifamily portfolios across large scale communities. Earlier in her career, she delivered complex healthcare facilities at Leo A Daly and also ran her own practice in India, specializing in custom single family homes and commercial projects. That blend of experiences continues to shape her practical, hands on approach to design and delivery.
