Course Description: 

 

The shift from traditional apprenticeship to tech-enabled, hybrid mentorship models is reshaping how knowledge is passed down in architecture. A diverse panel of architects will share their insights and personal experiences on defining mentorship in a modern era. Attendees will gain an understanding of the importance of shared experience and cultivating their career guidance team.

Learning Objectives:


  • Attendees will learn about different types of mentors and the collective value of these mentors in career development.


  • Attendees will learn how to define qualities/values in a mentor relationship and strategies for developing their learning network.


  • Attendees will learn about various career journeys (varied firm sizes, mix of career lengths, ethnic backgrounds) as case studies for growth and licensure.


  • Attendees will learn how the shift to hybrid work has changed the traditional apprenticeship model and strategies to adjust with new technologies.
